It’s been 2 weeks since we brought the Spicy Sprinter home.
New curtains installed. Cushions recovered. Interior scrubbed and polished.
We loaded our personal belongings and hit then road for a weekend on the Mississippi River. Weather apps the previous week promised a dreary weekend of storms, but fortunately the reports were incorrect. It was a beautiful weekend with sunny skies and cool nights, except for a short rain on Monday which allowed us to to experience a “rainy day” in the Sprinter.
Overall everything worked as we had hoped. We figured out a rhythm to working together on the packing, cooking and traveling in our tiny space. I am the inside crew, as I am only 5’3″ and can easily walk through the cabin. At six foot two, Mike is in charge of the outside “chores”. I found that having a set list of duties for each of us means nothing gets missed and set up and breakdown are incredibly quick.
We are pretty sure we are going to enjoy our new mode of transportation. Can’t wait for the next outing.
Stay tuned for Mike’s cocktail report and my post on RV cooking. Ciao!
Oh the adventures of that spicy sprinter! So happy we’re going to be one of them.
Happy trails!
